Counter Strike New Revealed

Valve finally announced Counter Strike New after weeks of rumors. It's a major update to CS:GO that will put it on the Source 2 engine.

It also includes the ability to use smoke grenades that respond and sub-tick updates for servers. It's made a lot of armchair gamers go crazy however, it appears to be an upgrade for the average player.

Smokes

Counter Strike New is getting an update that will fundamentally alter the smoking system used in the game. These changes, dubbed responsive smokes, will be a game changer. Smokes will expand to fill in areas and move across the map in a variety of ways. They will also react to the lighting in the game, which will make them appear more attractive and realistic. Instead of a 64-tick-update every millisecond, CS:GO now uses sub-ticks, or as Valve calls them, "micro ticks", to communicate with the servers. The client will take note of each of tiny increments and then send them to the server. The server will then send the updated game state back to players.
