The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of the button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay for if you want one of the best robot vacuum with mapping robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that must be removed frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and mop can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, so you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a specific path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features, but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets you to choose cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This helps the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
